About Jada

Jada is a 21-year-old living with autism, who is passionate about singing, writing, music, and reading. She is currently a tutor for The Answer Inc. Autism Awareness & Support Agency Spectrum University, a Best Buddies Global Ambassador, and a dancer for The Answer's Music & Me program. She has been attending The Answer for three years.

About Our Chef

Chef Charles Welch began working in restaurants as a teenager and soon found himself at Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago, earning his degree in Culinary Arts. Following his graduation in 2005, he held various culinary positions at some of Chicago’s most renowned restaurants, including Thyme, MK, and Sepia (where he helped the restaurant earn their first Michelin star). In 2013, Charles met Andrew Miller, an international culinary and food services strategist. Along with additional partners, they opened Honey’s in the West Loop, where Charles gained recognition for his Mediterranean-inspired dishes, earning him a nomination for “Rising Chef of the Year” for the 2017 Jean Banchet Awards, Last year, Charles, Andrew, and team opened Good Fortune, where he serves "New American-Meets-Mediterranean” cuisine to the Logan Square neighborhood.

About Our Restaurant Partner

Located in Logan square, Good Fortune is a new American restaurant inspired by life around the Mediterranean. A wood-fired oven is the beating heart of the simple, elegant approach to transforming local produce into thoughtful dishes that evoke both the Mediterranean and the Midwest. Attention to detail defines and motivates all aspects of the restaurant from food and wine to service and design.

The Answer Inc. is a 501c3NFP organization dedicated to empowering families impacted by Autism & Developmental Differences. They accomplish this through support, resources, education, recreation and advocacy. The Answer’s purpose is to provide awareness and education to the families of their participants and through the entire community.
