About Avi

Avi Lesser grew up with Keshet. He has participated in nearly every Keshet program for the past 25 years including education, recreation, overnight camp and vocational programs. Last year, Avi moved into one of Keshet’s MY Life residences where he thrives in a supported and independent living environment. He is currently employed at Sager Solomon Schechter Day School in Northbrook and Perk Café in Glenview. Avi is a man of many talents. He has spoken about his abilities and challenges across the globe and has blessed many audiences with his tremendous musical talents, including at The Grand Ole Opry.

About Our Chef

Executive Chef Todd Stein is a Partner at B. Hospitality Co., overseeing Chicago restaurants The Bristol, Formento’s and Nonna’s. Stein has an Italian approach to cooking, highlighting light and bright flavors of the Midwest throughout the year, with a mix of Mediterranean, Italian and contemporary American cuisine.

The Bristol, a contemporary American restaurant, is a staple for Chicago’s local dining crowd, off-duty chefs, and visiting gastronomes looking for a great dinner or weekend brunch. The menu features handmade pasta, farm-fresh produce, and a nose-to-tail approach to cooking. Beverages include handmade cocktails, a worldly wine list, and local craft beers. Your experience at The Bristol will be met with a smile, warmed with hospitality, and filled with outstanding food and drink.

About KESHET

Keshet is a community-based, non-profit organization that offers educational, vocational, recreational and residential programs for children, teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over 600 people with disabilities, ranging in age from 3 through adulthood, benefit directly from Keshet’s support. Keshet values each individual and tailors experiences to create purposeful and meaningful lives for those with disabilities. From Chicago- and Midwest-based programming at over 70 sites to international consultations, Keshet strives to meet its most important mission:

To do whatever is necessary to allow individuals with disabilities to achieve their potential in their home communities.
